Linoleum Block Carving and Printing by Travis Litke

One of these days I would love to do a workshop on either 

Papermaking or Linoleum Carving/ Printing.

There is a 99.9% chance that you will cut the ever living;

you know what; out of yourself if you just jump in and try to

do it without training. Its a dying art, but for me its unbelievably

gratifying. I start with paper making, make my own mold and deckle,

pulp and press. I use all kinds of stuff, from string, leaves, flowers,

found objects, gold leaf, etc in my paper pulp to keep it interesting.

While Im waiting on my paper I get going on my linoleum. In this 

project I went with my company crest for Sacred Chao Tattooing & Piercing.

Whats great about projects like these is I can get my kids involved 

in the process. My daughter helped with everything but the construction

of the paper mold and deckle, and the actual carving.
