Still keeping with his painterly style Travis begins in this piece to combine New Skool lighting with bright colors and light source. Rather than replicate the original image Travis had to turn to stark contrasts and deep hues as this tattoo is also a cover up. With this tattoo we begin to see the development of Travis' combination of tattoo genres shown in his more recent artwork. Credit to Tim Burtons 2010 Alice in Wonderland for inspiring this colorful adaptation of the Cheshire Cat in the movie.
