Tattoos Page 1 Iron Man Portrait Now viewing image 6 of 29 previous next Large Image Travis Litke - email Iron Man Portrait Placement: Leg Comments: The placement of this Iron Man tattoo is on the back of the right calf. Its roughly 8 inches tall from the top of the head to the base of the Ironman chest armor. This tattoo was done in two parts: the body, and then Iron Man's hand. Travis manipulated two pictures from Iron Man the movie on Photoshop, and superimposed the rocket booster hand in front of a portrait photo of Robert Downey Jr. as the Iron Man. This was a particularly challenging piece for Travis. Not because of the detail, but because it was tattooed by request on Travis' dad. Which also led Travis to do a complete color rendering in colored pencil seen here. (remember all images are sole property of travislitke.com no stealing) We also see in this piece a return to Travis' New Skool roots with the deliberate purple to blue to white back lighting and opposite highlights taken all the way out to yellow, rather than blend out to white and dark shade up to the edge of the backlighting. As one would expect in a photo realistic portrait.
