Powerpuff Girls Half Sleeve Tattoo

Travis really went all out on this Powerpuff Girls tattoo! It was done in several sessions due to it being done while Travis was injured and was not able to use his arm for more than an hour or two at a time, but he got it done!

With little direction other than "I want a powerpuff girls tattoo here. (gesturing to arm)" Travis came up with this.

Sugar, Spice, Everything Nice and some Chemical X, the Power Puff Girls Tattoo was born! Blossom Buttercup and Bubbles have never looked tougher than in this tattoo. (with a cameo "Octi" Bubbles' octopus)

Even while racked with pain from a repetitive motion injury caused by tattooing too much, Travis pulled it together and rediscovered his love for outlines. Something that had been lost while going through his painterly portrait period. But absent in this piece if you look closley is black shading. Travis felt that with the oulines being so phat and bold there was no need to use any black in the shading. Also, Travis was still solely using 7 magnum needle groupings with this piece, but woke him up to the fact that he needed to go bigger. Which we will see in his more recent work.
